Join the dynamic team at Daxton Hotel, an independently owned boutique hotel featuring over 400 pieces of cutting-edge art from around the globe. All 151 guest rooms and suites contain a custom-made unique piece. Thoughtfully curated by Saatchi Art, the pieces from artists, including Karin Vermeer and Louise “Ouizi” Jones, represent multiple mediums like sculpture, collage, photography drawing, and painting.

Job Summary: As a hotel lobby cleaning attendant, your primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby and public areas. Your attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high cleanliness standards will contribute to providing a positive experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning Duties:

    • Clean and sanitize all lobby furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, including tables, chairs, countertops, and handrails.
    • Vacuum carpets and rugs in the lobby area and adjoining hallways.
    • Sweep and mop hard floors to remove dirt, dust, and spills.
    • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
    • Dust and wipe down decorative items, artwork, and other surfaces to maintain a neat appearance.
  2. Restroom Maintenance:

    • Clean and disinfect public restrooms in the lobby area, including toilets, sinks, countertops, mirrors, and fixtures.
    • Restock restroom supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
    • Monitor restroom facilities for cleanliness and address any maintenance issues promptly.
  3. Lobby Maintenance:

    • Ensure that all lobby amenities, such as seating areas, reading materials, and refreshment stations, are clean and well-maintained.
    • Arrange lobby furniture and decor in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
    • Report any maintenance or safety concerns in the lobby area to the appropriate department for resolution.
  4. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer instructions and safety protocols.
    • Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials and waste.
  5. Team Collaboration:

    • Coordinate with other housekeeping staff to ensure seamless transitions between cleaning shifts and maintain consistent cleanliness standards throughout the hotel.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to report any issues or concerns related to lobby cleaning and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies, including vacuum cleaners, mop buckets, and trash bags.
  • Bend, stoop, and reach to clean hard-to-reach areas and low surfaces.
